SAN with Kostil
Kostil is the brand that Eni Versalis uses for the comercialization of its SAN products.
Kostil B 266 has a good chemical resistance, a very low residual monomers content and it is characterised by its high clarity and its good mechanical properties. The most recommended processing technologies for this product are extrusion and injection moulding. Injection moulding typical processing conditions are: a predrying of 1 – 2 h at 80°C in circulated air oven, a melt temperature between 200ºC and 250ºC and a mould temperature between 40ºC and 75ºC.
Kostil B 366 also has a good chemical resistance, a very low residual monomers content and exhibits a high clarity in addition to being designed for the moulding of items with complex shapes and/or with thin walls with fast cycles. Injection moulding typical processing conditions are: a predrying of 1 – 2 h at 80°C in circulated air oven, a melt temperature between 190ºC and 250ºC and a mould temperature between 40ºC and 75ºC.
Kostil B 755 exhibits super high flow and has been designed for compounding applications, specially recommended for masterbatch.
